I'm a director committed to bringing authentic and diverse stories about women to the screen. a veteran of film and theatre, My work spans both stage and film as an actor/director/producer/writer. as an AI Creative Director and narrative creative lead with 25+ years of experience across film, marketing, and storytelling i have a deep training in character, performance, and story craft through formal study of film and theatre arts at UCSC and A.C.T.
in 2019 I founded Girls IN Focus (GIF) non-profit, an all-girl filmmaking program where we groom the next generation of storytellers with the mission to shatter the gender gap in film. GIF is a member of the LA STEM Collective.our GIF curriculum is used nationwide. in Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) we employ our alumnae to teach film programs creating our own pipeline from training to employment. please reach out to collaborate with us for content creation or film education. I teach AI and coach filmmakers & actors.
Born in Belgrade, Serbia, I attended the American International Schools (ISB) and in Vienna, Austria (AIS) before immigrating to California with my parents when I was 12. i’ve worked in both scripted and unscripted following my documentary filmmaker father’s footsteps. working both in front and behind the camera, I produced and field directed a documentary short called Wyoming’s Mystery Dinosaurwhere i tracked paleontologist, Dr. Marilyn Wegweiser in the wilds of Wyoming as she unearthed bones and fossils of a new dinosaur species. I directed an award winning scripted short film End of the world.
I developed, produced and co-wrote the feature film Desert Vows in which I starred, to be released this year. i am in the funding phase of my second feature film I penned.
